On March 14th, 2023, AWS hosted the AWS InMotion Nonprofit Event, bringing together nonprofit leaders, experts, and AWS professionals to share best practices and insights on how technology can help drive positive change in the nonprofit sector.
The keynote speaker for the event was Allyson Fryhoff, managing director of nonprofit and nonprofit health at AWS. Other speakers included nonprofit leaders and AWS professionals who spoke about various topics such as using data analytics to drive nonprofit impact, leveraging the AWS platform to build scalable and secure solutions, and adopting a cloud-first approach for nonprofit organizations.
The event was structured into multiple sessions, including panel discussions and breakout sessions, where attendees could engage with speakers and learn more about how to apply the latest technologies to solve nonprofit challenges.
One panel discussion, “Leveraging Data Analytics to Drive Nonprofit Impact,” focused on how nonprofits can use data analytics to improve program outcomes, build better relationships with donors, and drive decision-making. The discussion covered topics such as collecting, storing, and analyzing data effectively, and using data insights to optimize resources.
Another breakout session, “Building Scalable and Secure Solutions on AWS,” covered the best practices for building secure and scalable solutions on AWS. The session included topics such as identity and access management, network security, and data protection. Attendees also had the opportunity to see a demonstration of how to build a secure solution on AWS.
A third panel discussion, “Cloud-First for Nonprofits,” explored the benefits of adopting a cloud-first approach for nonprofit organizations. The panelists discussed the scalability, flexibility, and cost savings advantages of cloud computing, and provided case studies of nonprofit organizations that have successfully migrated to the cloud.
The AWS InMotion Nonprofit Event provided a valuable opportunity for nonprofit leaders and AWS professionals to connect, share insights and best practices, and learn how to leverage technology to drive positive change in the nonprofit sector. Attendees gained valuable knowledge about using data analytics to improve program outcomes, building secure and scalable solutions on AWS, and adopting a cloud-first approach for nonprofit organizations. The event was a success and helped to further AWS’s mission to support nonprofit organizations in achieving their goals.
